After craving something a bit more like the fresh food we eat at home, we came across this little falafel spot near Dotonbori — and it was such a great find! It’s a small shop, best for individuals or small groups rather than large parties, with a menu offering different kebabs where you can choose pita, half pita, or baguette. We had the kebab and falafel pita along with some hummus, and everything was absolutely delicious — packed with fresh veggies, flavour, and plenty of sauce. It really hit the spot, and I honestly wished we could have gone back for more. After our meal, we ended up chatting with the owner for a while — he was super friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Highly recommend if you’re in Osaka and want a tasty break from noodles and rice!

Falafel Sababa is hands down one of the best spots for authentic Middle Eastern cuisine I’ve ever visited. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the welcoming and vibrant atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home and happy to ask questions about the menu. The food at Falafel Sababa is absolutely outstanding. The falafel is perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, bursting with flavor in every bite. The variety of toppings and sauces allows you to customize your meal exactly how you like it, and every ingredient tasted fresh and high-quality. I also tried their hummus and shawarma, both of which were rich, flavorful, and expertly prepared. The balance of spices and textures really elevates each dish, making it feel authentic and satisfying. What really sets Falafel Sababa apart is the attention to detail and care that goes into both the food and the service. The staff were knowledgeable, quick to help, and genuinely enthusiastic about sharing their love for the cuisine. The portions were generous, making it excellent value for money, and the overall dining experience was smooth and enjoyable. Falafel Sababa is a must-visit for anyone craving delicious, authentic Middle Eastern food. The combination of friendly service, fresh ingredients, and mouthwatering flavors makes it a standout choice, and I can’t wait to come back to try more items from their menu.

Delicious vegan and chicken options near Dotonburi. We needed a break from Japanese food and this hit the spot for lunch. No dairy used at all in the shop which is great for those with allergies.

Such beautiful food, authentic flavours, very fresh, everything made from scratch. Big selection of vegetarian/vegan options along side chicken once. We went for dinner, enjoyed so much, and came back following day again. Great service as well. Highly recommended

This place is really great. Small little restaurant like so many here in Japan and the food was outstanding. Good choice of vegetarian and non vegetarian Levantine food. Would have definitely come back, but only found it the last night we stayed in Osaka!

Wow! What a delicious little hole in the wall find in Osaka 😋 we have been craving Mediterranean food and Falafel Sababa did not disappoint. We ordered a pita and the falafel plate 🧆 Everything was fresh and flavorful. Be sure to visit if you are in Osaka. Just be mindful that there isn’t a lot of seating, so you may have to wait or take it to go ☺️

Amazing food. Great hummus and the falafel itself was awesome. It’s a small place but definitely worth visiting. Also good for veggies and vegans. I got the vegan plate with falafel and vegan meat and it was lush

The food is delicious with many vegetarian choices. It’s a small nook with middle eastern artifacts. The pita are made for them by a local bakery and they are delightful. Tiny table out front, and a rare find in Osaka. I had the full pita, and would probably have the platter and kebab next time. I love baklava, so I took one home for later. He wrapped it well, as it is fresh and oozes honey syrup. Truly refreshing to see something different after rice and noodles. The only other falafel I’ve found is 2-3 levels underground near Osaka Station (RUDY’S CLUB), and it’s served as an appetizer not a plate or a sandwich.
